Yusup Razykov
Director, script writer, film artist, honored man of arts in Uzbekistan, and 1999-2004 director at UzbekFilm production company. Razykov studied screenwriting under the mentorship of Valentin Chernykhin. Черныха. His films are nominees and winners of top prizes of many film festivals in Russia and abroad – Berlin IFF, Kinoshock FF, Asian Films Festival, Trieste Film Festival (Italy), Karlovy Vary Film Festival, Kinotavr FF, to name a few.
Leonid Chertok
Director, screen writer and film critic, Leonid started out as a camera serviceman and assistant cameraman (Vokzal Dlya Dvoikh, Liubov i Golubi, Bataliony Prosyat Ognya, etc.) at MosFilm studio and juggled work with studies at The Russian State Institute of Cinematography. He later worked as an executive director at privately-run film studio Stop-Cadre. Chertok has authored and produced many programs, commercials and music videos aired on Russian state television. He is currently chief editor at RUSNORD News Agency (Arkhangelsk) and a member of the Russian Association of Journalists.
Gunnar Bergdahl
Film director, screen writer, film critic and producer, Gunnar Bergdahl is known for Ljudmilas röst (2001), Bergmans röst (1997) and Tystnadens röst (2003).
He was the Festival Director of Göteborg Film Festival between 1994-2003. Presently working as editor (and founder) of Filmkonst.
Gunnar is the author of books, articles and films about Ingmar Bergman. Ljudmilas röst (2001), for which is acted as screen writer and director, tells of a woman, Ljudmila Ignatenko, whose husband died after fighting the fires of the Chernobyl nuclear catastrophe. Ljudmila’s story is followed also in Chernobyl TV miniseries.

Danny Lennon
Danny Lennon is a film programmer known around the world. In 1999, Lennon launched ‘Prends ça court!’, which celebrates and supports short films from around the world, as well as Canadian cinema. He is the film distributor for Vans OFF THE WALL in California, and also the programmer and driving force of the Talent tout court initiative. Since 2005, Lennon is one of the programmers for the ‘Coups d’♥’ section of Cannes Court Métrage at the Cannes Film Festival.
Vladislav Pasternak
Film producer, executive director at HGG. Vladislav acted as a producer for Ksenia Zueva’s drama Blizkiye and Konstantin Shelepov’s fantasy thriller Tsensor, in addition to a total of 70 short feature and anmated feature films and documentaries, some of which are recepients of numerous Russian and global awards. Pasternak is one of the programmers for Modern Chinese inematography FF and enjoys membership in CCTSS. He is a distributor for Cannes nominees Dogs Don’t Wear Pants (Finland) and Girl (Belgium).
Evgenia Marchenko
Born in 1989 in Leningrad. Evgenia earned her degree in 2013 from Saint-Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts (Alexander Kiselev’s studio). Director, cinematographer, recipient of awards from Russian and overseas film festivals, including KinoStart (Saint-Petersburg), Vau-fest (Kyiv), Andrey Tarkovsky “Zerkalo" International Film Festival (Ivanovo), Message to Man (Saint-Petersburg), nominee for Laurel Branch-2013 Best Cinematographer Award. Marchenko acted as director and cinematographer for Byt’ ili kazatsya (To Be Or To Seem), Mama – eto ya (Mom is actually me), Dve zhizni. Odna liubov (Two Lives. One Love). Since 2013 she is a member of selection board for Message to Man FF and programming director for Rudnik FF (Sviyazhsk) since 2017.
DOCUMENTARIES
Alexey Vakhrushev
Director, screenwriter, film producer, Alexey Vakhrushev has membership in the Russian Association of Filmmakers, Russian Film Directors Guild, and NIKA Academy. His award-winning films gained recognition from both Russian and international film festivals. Vakhrushev is a research officer with Russian Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology (Center for Audio and Visual Studies). He’s the author of 10 films about the indigenous peoples of the North – the Laurel Branch-winning Kniga Morya (The Book of Sea) and the Nika-winning Kniga Tundry (The Book of Tundra). Vakhrushev regularly makes video projects for the world-famous National Geographic.
Staffan Julen
Director and artistic researcher and Head of Communications at The Institute for Futures Studies, Stockholm, Sweden. Has since 1983 directed and produced a total of six international award-winning feature films and several television documentaries and short films. Among features: THE PRIZE OF THE POLE, 2007 (DocAviv 2008), MY HEART OF DARKNESS, 2010, LYUBOV- love in Russian, (autumn 2017) together with Nobel Laureate in Literature, Svetlana Alexievich.
Antoine Cattin
Documentary film director and cinematographer, Antoine works in Switzerland and Russia. He received his degree from the University of Lausanne (History, Cinema and Russian). Cattin made a series of documentaries in co-authorship with Pavel Kostomarov – Transformator (2003), Mirnaya Zhizn (Still Life, 2004) and Mat (The Mother, 2007). Cattin and Kostomarov’s ten-year shooting of director Alexey Herman making his Istoriya Arkanarskoy Rezni (The Story of Arkanar Massacre) have served the basis for their Playback (2012). Antoine Cattin is a recipient of Laurus Award (2004, 2007) and White Elephant (2007).
Klavdia Khoroshavina
Documentary director, script writer, RF honoured worker of culture, laureate of Russian and international film festivals. Khoroshavina has created more than 200 documentaries about the Russian North, the most well-known being the film series about writers V. Astafiev, F. Abramov and V. Lichutin, Neistovy (The Furious), Beglets iz raya (Runaway From Paradise), Pinega! Dai vody na zhivot (Pinega! I want your aqua viva), Razmyshlenia o russkom yazyke (Reflections On The Russian Language). The scenes of picturesque northern locations in Khoroshavina’s films leave audiences breathless. Recipient of the Winged Lion order, established by the UN and UNESCO for outstanding service and dedication to the revival of motherland.

Yury Yerofeev
Journalist, screen writer, film producer, member of the Russian Association of Journalists. With track record on television since 1996, Yerofeev is the author of hundreds of TV programmes and films for children and adolescents. His films have received accolades from film and television festivals in Russia and globally. Okno Serezhi Basalayeva (Serezha Basalaev’s Window) has received the special prize from UNICEF. Yerofeev’s contribution to children’s television programmes earned him a place in the Academy of Children’s Television (hosted by Ostankino). Yury Yerofeev is one of the organizers of Northern Character FF and Northern Character: Green Screen FF.
Dmitry Trubin
Arkhangelsk-based painter, graphic and book artist. Dmitry is an Honoured Artist of Russia and a valid Knight of the Order of Literature and Arts Academy GRECI-MARINO (Italy). He is a recipient of 2014 Hans Christian Andersen Literature Award and Diploma by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) – Best Illustration to Children’s Book, and 2014 All-Russian Competition Obraz Knigi (Book Image). Trubin has been awarded with Silver Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts and the medal of the Russian Artists Association. A partner to major Russian and overseas publishing houses, he is the author of illustrations to 180+ books.
Svetlana Makaryina
Poet and children’s author. Makaryina has authored three books of poems including children’s – Budka Dlya Dobroy Sobaki (A House for a Friendly Dog). She has been chairing four jury boards of online competition Brusnika and is currently its programmer.
She is the author of numerous publications in journals, collection volumes and children’s media. Makaryina hold prizes and awards from may festivals and competitions, including the 2015 Za Dalyu-Dal’ (shortlisted), I. Grigoriev International Poetry Competition (top nominee), and the 2018 International Literature Competition Lokhmaty Drug (third prize).
